A new GP has been appointed to the Governing Body of NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELR CCG).
Dr Anuj Chahal, who is a Principle GP at Two Shires Medical Practice in Kibworth, has joined the CCG as Harborough Locality Lead and Prescribing Lead.
Dr Chahal said: “I’m delighted to be working with the CCG in this new role. Having the opportunity to help develop our plans for more collaborative working across our practices is something I’m really excited about. By sharing learning and building closer links with practices we can tackle some of the challenges we face together and ultimately improve the patient experience.”
Commenting on Dr Chahal’s appointment, Dr Richard Palin, Chairman of ELR CCG said: “We’re really pleased that Anuj has joined our Governing Body in his role as Locality Lead for Harborough and Prescribing Lead.
“Anuj’s experience working with the ELR GP Federation and the LLR Provider Company will provide a fresh perspective to our Governing Body as we develop plans for the future, helping us to commission services that meet the needs of our patients in challenging financial circumstances.”
